Reactions come in as Delhi HC slams MCD for running 'Dirty India Campaign'

New Delhi/ Kaushambi, Nov 06 (ANI): Reactions come from political leaders after Delhi High Court slammed Municipal Corporation of Delhi for unhygienic conditions in the national capital and made an observation that it was running a 'Ganda Bharat Abhiyan' or 'Dirty India Campaign'. While BJP said that government is committed to its 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’, Congress and AAP alleged that the ruling BJP is only doing a show off and the MCD under them has failed to perform on the ground. Police arrest three for smuggling tortoise

Aurangabad, Nov 06 (ANI): Police in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra arrested three people for smuggling a golden tortoise. Acting on a tip off, police officials disguised as customers visited the hotel where five smugglers were waiting to sell the rare specie, which is worth at least four billion dollars in Indian market. The three smugglers have been identified as Ganesh Pawar (50), Ramesh Pawar (24) and Shaikh Najib (22). The main accused has been identified as Amol Salve. Police detain youth for wearing t-shirt with ISIS logo

Dhanbad, Nov 06 (ANI): Police in Jharkhand detained a youth after his photos wearing a t-shirt with ISIS written on it emerged in a local daily. The boy was wearing a t-shirt that read 'ISIS Pakistan' during Ashoura procession on Tuesday (November 04) in Dhanbad city. As per media reports, the police have also detained the man who printed the t-shirt and relative who gave it to him. The boy claimed that he was preparing for a skit displaying resistance against the Islamic State and Pakistan. Officer in-charge of Dhanbad's Jharia police station, Vishnu Rajak, said they were investigating terror links in this matter. New Delhi/ Mumbai, Nov 06 (ANI): A new rule has been imposed upon women boxers all over the world that they will have to carry the doctor's certification after undergoing a pregnancy test prior to participation in any boxing championship. The Vice President of Indian Orthopaedic Association, Tarlochan Singh said that this was already a mandatory practice apart from a certification from a doctor. He added that there was nothing discriminatory in the rule for India as the practice is applicable worldwide. Secretary of Sports Department, Ajit Saran said that the Indian sports federation cannot do anything about the rule as it has been applied by AIBA for all boxers. Secretary of Boxing India Jay Kowli said that there is no need to create an issue out of the rule because it is in the benefit of women boxers to prevent them of any injury if they are pregnant.
