David Cameron has warned Britain faces economic chaos if Ed Miliband is elected Prime Minister at the general election.

Speaking outside Downing Street after informing the Queen parliament has been dissolved, Cameron said only the Conservatives could protect the NHS and provide economic and national security.

The next prime minister walking through that door will be me or Ed Miliband, Cameron said.

You can choose an economy that grows, that creates jobs, that generates the money to ensure a properly funded and improving health service.

A government that will cut taxes for 30 million hard working people. A country that is safe and secure.

Or you could choose the economic chaos of Ed Miliband. Over £3,000 in higher taxes for every working family to pay for more welfare and out of control spending. Debt will rise and jobs will be lost as a result.

Cameron added Miliband would hike taxes and increase debt if Labour returned to power.

He said he would visit all four corners of all four nations of the United Kingdom to tell voters together we are turning this country around.

Describing what the Torys would prioritise if they are voted back into power, Cameron highlighted job creation, cutting taxes, building more homes and creating better schools as well as protecting the elderly.

His speech came hours after Miliband outlined Labours business manifesto. The Labour leader accused the prime minister playing political games with Britains EU membership and reaffirmed his intention to keep the country inside the union.
