Acid attack perpetrators to be jailed for ten years, says Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that the government will punish acid attack perpetrators with ten years imprisonment. Singh said the acid attack victims faced the worst mental and physical repercussions of the attack. He added that two new sections have been added to the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act 2013 to classify the crime as "heinous". Tibetans in exile in Dharamsala seek divine blessing on their new year

Dharamsala, Feb 21 (ANI): Tibetans living in-exile in Dharamsala visited a Buddhist temple to seek divine blessing on the second day of the three-day New Year, Losar. Year 2015 is regarded as the Female Wood Sheep year as per the lunar calendar. Traditionally, celebrations begin with Tsedor or Losar prayers to the official protecting deity Palden Lhamo. The devotees gathered at the Buddhist temple, Tsuglagkhang and prayed in front of statues of Lord Buddha. 'Losar' is also marked with ancient ceremonies that symbolise the struggle between good and evil.
