Acid attack perpetrators to be jailed for ten years, says Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that the government will punish acid attack perpetrators with ten years imprisonment. Singh said the acid attack victims faced the worst mental and physical repercussions of the attack. He added that two new sections have been added to the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act 2013 to classify the crime as "heinous". Tibetans in exile in Dharamsala seek divine blessing on their new year

Dharamsala, Feb 21 (ANI): Tibetans living in-exile in Dharamsala visited a Buddhist temple to seek divine blessing on the second day of the three-day New Year, Losar. Year 2015 is regarded as the Female Wood Sheep year as per the lunar calendar. Traditionally, celebrations begin with Tsedor or Losar prayers to the official protecting deity Palden Lhamo. The devotees gathered at the Buddhist temple, Tsuglagkhang and prayed in front of statues of Lord Buddha. 'Losar' is also marked with ancient ceremonies that symbolise the struggle between good and evil. Hymns are chanted and fire torches passed through the crowds as monks play traditional drums and blow horns. The celebrations will conclude on Saturday (February 21). Feb 21, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): In an update to Burari incident which took place last night; six AAP workers who had been detained were produced in the court. Lawyer Basant Singh said that police should take the due course of action against the charge of not filing an FIR in Burari police station. He added that if police does not resort to the legal procedure AAP may also move Court in the matter.
