Dramatic footage shows police rescuing campers stranded by Whittier fire

Dramatic footage shows police officers attempting to reach a holiday camp cut off by a forest fire. 88 children and 26 adult staff had to be evacuated from Circle V Ranch when the Whittier wildfire spread dangerously close to the summer camp. The video shows officers driving down a dirt road towards the camp only to find the path blocked by fire and fallen trees. Two tourists dead following stabbing at Egyptian hotel resort

At least two people have died after six tourists were stabbed at a hotel resort in Egypt. The Egyptian knifeman killed two German tourists after apparently searching out foreigners to attack, officials and witnesses said. At least 3 dead after fire breaks out in high-rise building in Honolulu

At least three people died in a house fire in Honolulu. 12 others were injured in the blaze on the 26th floor of the 31-storey Marco Polo apartments. The fire burnt through several floors of the 538-unit house. The building was partially evacuated but some people were trapped inside their flats.
