New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday urged Delhi police to use new and emerging technologies to solve cases. Singh, who was accompanied by Delhi Police Commissioner, BS Bassi, inspected a parade and felicitated officials for excellent work at the 68th Raising Day of Delhi police. Addressing the gathering of police staff, Singh said he was aware that maintaining law and order in the capital was a big challenge and asked officials to look into new methods to solve cases. Communist leader Pansare, wife shot at in Kolhapur

New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Senior Communist leader Govind Pansare and his wife Uma were seriously injured after unknown men opened fire at them in Kolhapur on Monday. According reports, the assailants fired gunshots at the couple at around 8 a.m. when they were out for a morning walk. The assailants, who fired at least four rounds from close range at the couple, fled the scene after the incident. According to reports, the couple is presently being treated at the Astor Aadhar Hospital in Kolhapur. Their condition is believed to be serious. Meanwhile, political leaders condemned the incident. New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on Monday. ISIS releases video purporting to show beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians in Libya

Libya, Feb 16 (ANI):Islamic State released a video purporting to show the mass beheading of Coptic Christian hostages in Libya. Egypt's state news agency MENA quoted the spokesman for the Coptic Church as confirming that 21 Egyptian Christians believed to be held by Islamic State were dead. In the video, militants in black marched the captives, dressed in orange jump suits, to a beach that the group said was near Tripoli. They were forced down onto their knees, then beheaded. The video appeared on the Twitter feed of a website that supports Islamic State, which has seized parts of Iraq and Syria and has also beheaded Western hostages. A caption on the five-minute video read:"The people of the cross, followers of the hostile Egyptian church." Before the killings, one of the militants stood with a knife in his hand. Feb 16, 2015
