PM is definitely honest: JD (U) after JPC report on 2G scam

New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): A day after JPC meet gave clean chit to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram and charged the then Communications Minister and DMK MP A Raja responsible for the 2G scam, JD (U) leader Shabir Ali on Saturday supported the report and said that the PM is definitely honest and there is no doubt about the same. Further, talking about differences in Congress regarding the ordinance on convicted politicians, Ali said that such discussions should be taken up in the Parliament and not directly by the courts.

21 killed in bus accident in Himachal Pradesh

Sirmaur, Sept 27 (ANI): A private mini-bus skidded off the road and rolled down more than a 500-foot deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district on Friday killing 21 people travelling in it. According to police all bodies have been recovered, most of them badly mutilated, from the wreckage of the bus. The bus was on its way from Ucha Tikkar to Renuka-ji, a place famous for a Hindu shrine.

New Delhi, Sept 27 (ANI): The Joint Parliamentary Committee on Friday adopted its controversial draft report on the 2G spectrum allocation case which gave a clean chit to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Sixteen members voted in favour of the report and 11 against the report. CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury strongly opposed the decision and said that his party will not accept this.
