Girl allegedly assaulted by IAS officer on pretext of govt job

Dehradun, Nov 23 (ANI): A 26-year-old girl accused senior IAS (Indian Administrative Services) officer of sexual exploitation in Uttarakhand. According to the police, a zero First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in the case in east Delhi. The accused, Additional Secretary, Home Department, Uttarakhand, JP Joshi said that he was innocent and that this was part of a conspiracy to defame him. The complainant said that the accused assaulted her on several occasions on the pretext of giving her a government job.

Suspended IAS officer Pradeep Sharma seeks CBI probe against Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Suspended IAS officer Pradeep Sharma on Saturday appealed to the Supreme Court to order a CBI enquiry against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the snooping row. Further, he said that the probe was done illegally and also blamed Modi and his close aide Amit Shah for the same. He said that Modi was sared of getting his image tainted and that is why he raided his house and framed cases against Sharma. Assamese village in Jorhat district benefits from welfare schemes

Jorhat, Nov 23 (ANI): 32-year-old Kheiramoni Saikia is a resident of Chetia Gaon, situated on the outskirts of Jorhat district, in upper Assam. She is a mother of two, and could barely meet the needs of the household with the meager income of her husband, who works as a daily wage labourer. However, under the central government’s MGNREGA scheme, she has been provided a job card, through which she gets work as a daily wager in various construction projects. She is happy that she is now able to provide for her children's education. Most residents of the village are either engaged in agriculture or work as daily wagers.
