GSLV-D5 launch successful, K Radhakrishnan says ISRO team finally did it

Sriharikota, Jan 05 (ANI): ISRO Chief K Radhakrishnan lauded successful launch of Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Development 5 (GSLV-D5) with indigenous cryogenic engine on Sunday. The GSLV-D5 successfully placed GSAT-14 communication satellite on orbit. Radhakrishnan said that finally the ISRO team did it and acknowledged that this was a hard-worked upon project since a long time. He said that the vehicle performed as predicted and the team feels that it has finally paid its debt to the country.

Spiritual and physical training brings about a change among inmates at Manipur's Sajiwa jail

Manipur, Jan 05 (ANI): The Central Jail, situated at Sajiwa in East Imphal, houses over 650 inmates, including a large number of former militants. It is the northeast's first jail to introduce meditation, sports, gym facility and other co-curricular activities for the inmates. It recently upgraded the fitness center in its premises with help from an Imphal-based gym. RK Vishwajit Singh, the owner of 'Animal gym' has been helping the inmates by providing gym equipment at a cheap rate. The inmates, who have now understood the value of leading a healthy life, are happy with the constructive activities.

Scans taken after volunteers jogged for an hour showed that the brain's "reward centres" lit up when they were shown images of low-fat diet foods. But the same brain regions showed reduced activity when volunteers looked at pictures of calorie-dense fatty food.
