Media persons say Vadra should apologise for misbehaving with reporter

New Delhi/ Noida, Nov 02 (ANI): Media Persons on Sunday demanded an apology from Businessman Robert Vadra for attacking at media and misbehaving with the reporter. Editor of an Urdu weekly Nai Duniya, Shahid Siddiqui said that Vadra should apologise before the country for his careless attitude. Former TV Journalist Ashutosh said that press has the freedom to ask any question and no clarification will justify his misbehaviour. Former TV Journalist Shazia Ilmi said that Vadra's actions show arrogance and added that he should humbly apologise for his misbehaviour.

Politicos condemn Robert Vadra's misbehaviour with media

New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Lucknow, Nov 02 (ANI): Political leaders on Sunday condemned businessman Robert Vadra's misbehaviour with media where he attacked a reporter after being asked about his land deals in Haryana. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said that Vadra had received benefits during Congress government in Haryana and now as he is at the verge of being exposed he is misbehaving. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that the government should immediately act and remove the special security given to Vadra. CPI leader D Raja said that such behaviour by an eminent personality is highly condemnable. NCP leader Nawab Malik said that Vadra should immediately tender an apology from the media agency and solve the matter. NCP leader Majid Memon said that misbehaving with media is not acceptable.

Indian, UK Air Force bands perform jointly to commemorate World War I soldiers

New Delhi, Nov 02 (ANI): The Royal Air Force Band of England and Indian Air Force jointly performed Air Warrior Orchestra Symphony (AWSO), organized at the war memorial India Gate in New Delhi, to commemorate Indian soldiers who fought World War-I . The joint musical concert started with sun set in the evening till the India Gate was all lit up with a soulful rendition of final pieces of music put together by the two bands. Air Marshal HB Rajaram, Air Officer-in-Charge Administration at Air Headquarters was the guest of honour for the occasion. The symphony composers for the two bands were Squadron Leader G Jayachandran and Flight Lieutenant Richard A Murray.

Speaker of Bihar assembly dismisses four legislators

Patna, Nov 02 (ANI): Speaker of Bihar assembly, Uday Narayan Choudhary, dismissed four legislators of ruling Janata Dal United (JD-U) for cross voting during parliament’s upper house by-polls. Calling the decision arbitrary, the legislators said they would move the High Court against it. Leader of Opposition in Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, said the decision was dictatorial and it was done at the behest of Nitish Kumar, former chief minister of Bihar and JD-U leader. The JD (U) had complained to the Speaker about four members — Gyanendra Singh Gyanu, Niraj Kumar Singh, Ravindra Rai and Rahul Sharma.

Bangalore Rape Case: Principal, Director of school arrested

Bangalore, Nov 02 (ANI): Police arrested the principal and one of the directors of school in Bangalore, over alleged rape of a six-year-old child. A case of negligence was also filed against the institution for not following the guidelines issued for children safety. The child was allegedly raped twice by a school teacher on October 28 and October 29 at the private school in the city. Additional Commissioner of Police for law and order, Alok Kumar said the principal Vaijayanthi and director Pramod Arya were arrested under two sections of the Indian Penal Code and one section under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). He added that both the accused have been booked under Section 21 of the POCSO Act for not informing the police after learning about the incident. Kumar also said both of them have been sent to the magistrate and further probe is underway.

Nita Ambani performs Ganga Aarti in Varanasi on birthday

Varanasi, Nov 02 (ANI): Reliance Industries chief and billionaire Mukesh Ambani's wife, Nita Ambani celebrated her 51st birthday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency, Varanasi. Nita Ambani is also the Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries. As a part of the celebrations, Ambanis also attended a special prayer service (religious rituals) at Kashi Vishwanath temple in the holy city. Nita Ambani also performed the Ganga Aarti at the bank of River Ganges. Highlight of the day the famous ritual of lights 'Aarti' at the Dashashwamedh bank of river Ganges, witnessed by the Ambanis and the guests seated in four houseboats, which were especially decked up for the occasion.

Doctors perform rare fetal heart surgery, first in India

Hyderabad, Nov 02 (ANI): Doctors in Hyderabad performed India’s first rare fetal heart surgery, to cure a serious obstruction of the blood vessel. The procedure is a crucial feat that will pave the way for cure and prevention of heart diseases. The surgery was performed on the foetus of a 25 year old lady, Sirisha. An ultrasound scan during her pregnancy showed heart defect in the baby (foetus). She also had undergone minor surgical procedure for gynecological problem to prevent abortion. Doctors performed fetal echocardiogram and found major heart defect in the foetus. There was severe obstruction which was resulting in failure of pumping of blood to the rest of the body. The rare surgery was performed by Chief Pediatric Cardiologist, CARE hospitals, Dr K Nageshwar Rao along with a team of 12 specialists. Reportedly, this heart ailment is incurable once a child is born.

Robert Vadra attacks reporter when asked about land deals

New Delhi, Nov 02 (ANI): Businessman and son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra lost his cool, and ended up misbehaving with an ANI reporter on Saturday evening after the scribe posed some difficult questions to him over the illegal land deals in Haryana. The ANI reporter and cameramen also have alleged that following the verbal altercation, Vadra's security men also assaulted the crew in an attempt to get the footage deleted. In a statement Vadra later said that he wasn't aware that the reporter was from ANI and thought the question was asked by a private photographer. Following this, General Secretary of Broadcast Editors' Association, NK Singh said that Vadra should tender an apology for his misbehaviour.

Akitoli is now planning to expand her business to some rural areas so that she can provide job to unemployed women.
