Opener SuryaKumar Yadav's 57 run knock and some useful contributions from other batters helped Mumbai Indians beat Kings XI Punjab by six wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Friday. With this win Mumbai is sitting at the fifth spot with six points in nine matches, while Punjab is at fourth spot with 10 points in eight matches. Mumbai started 175 run chase on a positive note, scoring 38 runs in 5.3 overs, but after that opener Evin Lewis (10) departed. Lewis was caught behind Mujeeb ur Rahman.

Top-order batsman Shubman Gill cracked an unbeaten 36-ball 57 while skipper Dinesh Karthik bludgeoned a 18-ball 45 not out to guide Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Eden Gardens here on Thursday. Chasing 178 for victory, Gill, an U-19 World Cup winner, joined hands with Karthik for an unbroken 83-run fifth wicket partnership off 36 deliveries that took the game away from M.S. Dhoni's team despite their making early inroads. This was Gill's maiden IPL fifty. Put in to bat, CSK rode Dhoni's unbeaten 25-ball 43 to post 177/5 in 20 overs. In reply, KKR finished on 180/4 with 14 balls to spare to register second win on the bounce and fifth overall in the tournament so far.

Captain Shreyas Iyer and stumper Rishabh Pant struck rollicking half centuries to keep Delhi Daredevils' play-off hopes alive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the hosts pipped Rajasthan Royals by four runs by D/L method in a rain-truncated clash at the Ferozshah Kotla here on Thursday. With sporadic rain affecting the proceedings in the first innings, Rajasthan's target was curtailed to 151 from 12 overs and the visitors were very much in the chase, thanks to a stroke-filled 26-ball 67 from opener Jos Buttler. Pacer Trent Boult pulled back things for the home side with a couple of wickets and a brilliant last over where he defended 15 runs as Delhi rose one spot to the No.7 in the points table.

IPL 2018: Delhi Daredevils beat Rajasthan Royals by 4 runs to stay alive

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pulled off an excellent bowling performance to defeat Mumbai Indians by 14 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Tuesday. Chasing a managable target of 168 runs, Mumbai lost wickets at regular intervals and could only post 153/7 in their 20 overs. Except for Hardik Pandya, who scored a patient 50 off 42 deliveries, the rest of the Mumbai batsmen were unable to stand up to the RCB bowlers. RCB are now at the fifth spot in the IPL table with six points from their eight matches. Mumbai are second from bottom in the eight-team ladder with four points from eight matches.

Dominating batting from Shane Watson and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Delhi Daredevils by 13 runs in an Indian Premier League match here on Monday. The win also saw Chennai sitting at the top spot with 12 points in eight matches while Delhi languish at the bottom of the table with four points. After posting 211/4 with opener Shane Watson (78), Dhoni (51 not out) and Ambati Rayudu (41 not out) scoring handsomely, ChennaiA bowlers restricted Delhi to 198/5 in their allotted 20 overs.

Inspired by half-centuries from new skipper Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw, Delhi Daredevils finally ended their three-match losing streak with a 55-run thumping win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Ferozshah Kotla here on Friday. With Friday's win, Delhi's stay at the bottom of the points table ended as they climbed to the 7th spot while KKR remained static at No.4 despite their fourth loss in seven matches. Playing his first match after replacing the off-colour Gautam Gambhir as captain, Iyer blasted a 40-ball unbeaten 93, laced with three fours and 10 sixes, to propel the hosts to this IPL season's highest total of 219/4. Iyer's power-packed innings, however came after teenaged sensation Prithvi and Colin Munro got Delhi off to a breezy start with a 59-run opening stand.

Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a superb bowling performance to outwit Mumbai Indians by 31 runs in a tricky low-scoring encounter here on Tuesday to condemn the defending champions to their fifth loss in six games in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On a day for bowlers, Mumbai bowled out Hyderabad for 118 in 18.4 overs but the hosts were then bundled out for 87 in 18.5 overs at the Wankhede. Hyderabad ended their two-match losing run and are third in the points table with eight points from six matches. Hyderabad bowlers hunted in pack, with medium pacer Siddharth Kaul picking three wickets, while leg-spinner Rashid Khan and pacer Basil Thampi picking took two wickets each. Sandeep Sharma, Mohammed Nabi and Shakib Al Hasan picked a wicket each.

Kings XI Punjab pipped Delhi Daredevils by four runs in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) here at the Feroz Shah Kotla Cricket stadium on Monday. The nail-biting win over Delhi also lifted Punjab to the top spot in the points table. Chasing a paltry 144-run target, lack of big partnerships hurt Delhi as they suffered a hattrick of defeats in this year's edition of the cash-rich league. Delhi started their proceedings on a shaky note as pacer Ankit Rajpoot came with the first breakthrough for Punjab in the third over, dismissing opener Prithvi Shaw for 22 runs. Incoming batter Glen Maxwell (12) and skipper Gautam Gambhir (4) once again struggled to gather runs as both were back in the dug-out in the fifth and sixth over respectively, leaving Delhi at 42/3.
