BSE closes points 106.77 up on Feb 19

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 106.77 points up to stand at 20,740.98. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 25.65 points up to stand at6,152.75. Adani Enter and Financial Tech were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.04% and 4.99% along with MCX and Gujarat Mineral with an increase of 4.95% and 3.82 % respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Jindal Steel and Tata Communication with a decrease of 2.79 % and 2.73 % along with Indian Bank and Bank of India with a decrease of 2.29% and 2.09% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 7.06 points at 12,168.14 while the banking sector is up 41.65 points at 12,115.87 and the realty sector is up 5.21 points at 1,212.29. ABB India Ltd. and Jindal Steel were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 12.44% and 7.03% along with Siemens and Adani Power Ltd. with an increase of 6.22% and 5.97% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Hindustan Zinc and Motherson Sumi with a decrease of 2.56% and 2.27% along with Suzlon Energy and Jain Irrigation with a decrease of 2.21% and 1.75% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 112.06 points at 12,171.03 while the banking sector is up 226.84 points at 12,025.21 and the realty sector is up 6.01 points at 1,206.03. Kiran Rao hosts special screening of documentary film Gulabi Gang

Mumbai, Feb 14 (ANI): Indian filmmaker, Kiran Rao, hosted special screening of the upcoming documentary film 'Gulabi Gang', for her peers in the industry, as movie takes forward the fight against gender violence, caste oppression and widespread corruption in central Bundelkhand region. Bollywood stars including Raj Kumar Hirani, Gauri Shinde, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Prasoon Joshi and Aditya Roy Kapur attended the screening in India’s showbiz capital Mumbai. Post screening of the film, Rao said that the film would be appreciated and loved by all. The documentary, directed by Nishtha Jain, is based on the life of Indian social activist, Sampat Pal Devi, who founded Gulabi Gang; an Uttar Pradesh based organization that works for women empowerment. Considering it as an informative film, Bollywood actor, Aditya Roy Kapur, said that it makes us aware about the ground realities. The upcoming film ‘Gulaab Gang’ starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla as leads is based on ‘Gulabi Gang’. While the documentary is slated for release on February 21, the movie will release on March 07. Feb 14, 2014
