Sarajevo War Hostel recreates life during siege of city

A hostel has been set up to recreate the conditions of those trapped inside the Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian war. The hostel is run by a family who survived the three-year-long siege and hope to educate guests about their experience. The unique hostel sees residents sleep in military beds, only use candles and lamps, and hear the sounds of gunfights in the distance. Nov 25, 2016

Antonino Fernández, the founder and chairman of Corona Beer brewery Grupo Modelo, died a billionaire aged 99 in August. He came from humble beginnings in the small village of Cerezales del Condado in the north-western Spanish province of Leon. After marrying his wife Cinia González Díez in Spain, the couple moved to Mexico where they began working for the Grupo Modelo brewery, owned by her uncle. Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos and Marxist Farc rebel leader Rodrigo Londono signed a new, revised peace accord on 24 November. The new agreement will end 52 years of war, and was put together in a month after the original was defeated in a referendum on 2 October.
