Andhra Pradesh CM visits building collapse spot in Chennai

Chennai, June 30 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday visited the spot where an 11 storey building had collapsed on Saturday. Naidu said that rescue operations are going on very carefully and many workers have been rescued alive. Mumbai, June 30 (ANI): The lead pair of upcoming romantic film 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil', Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth was spotted encouraging dog adoption while promoting their film in Mumbai. Taking a cue from their film which shows the lead actress adopting a stray puppy, the makers of the film have initiated 'Adopt a Dog, Be a Hero Campaign', to raise awareness about animal welfare. Pallavi Purkayastha murder case: Watchman found guilty of murder, molestation

Mumbai, June 30 (ANI): Almost two years after Mumbai lawyer Pallavi Purkayastha was brutally murdered inside her apartment building, the security guard of the building has been convicted of murder. He has also been pronounced guilty of molestation and trespassing by the Mumbai court. 25-year-old lawyer Pallavi Purkhayastha was brutally murdered at her Wadala apartment on August 9, 2012. She was killed by Sajjad Ahmed Mogul, the security guard of the building. Her fiancée, Avik Sengupta, who discovered her body, died of an illness in November 2013. Jun 30, 2014

DU students protest outside UGC, demand continuation of BMS

New Delhi, June 30 (ANI): Delhi University B Tech students on Monday protested outside University Grants Commission office demanding the continuation of their course and that too under the FMS tag. DU has also decided to discontinue its B Tech and BMS courses and would not hold any fresh admissions to them.
