Karti Chidambaram refutes TNCC's allegation of making anti-party remarks

Chennai, Jan 27 (ANI): Congress leader and son of former union minister P Chidambaram, Karti Chidambaram, on Tuesday refuted the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee's (TNCC) charge that he had made remarks against the party and its high command, and said that whatever he had said was totally in sync with Congress principles. He was reacting to the showcause notice sent by TNCC President E V K S Elangovan asking him to explain why he should not be expelled from the party. The TNCC had issued a show-cause notice to Karti on Friday, asking why he should not be expelled for his anti-party remarks at a meeting with his supporters in Chennai where, he had reportedly praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his "political acumen". Indian Army organises blood camp in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 27 (ANI): In a bid to reach out to locals in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian army on Tuesday organised a blood donation camp in the militancy-hit Srinagar district. This is the seventh blood donation camp organised by the army to help residents of Srinagar and nearby areas, affected by the devastating floods in September last year. While many of the soldiers donated blood, health official Javed Iqbal said many civilians also came forward to participate in the initiative. Requirement of blood has always been high in the state due to militancy and insurgency activities. There has also been an acute shortage of blood especially after the devastating floods last year. BJP files complaint with EC against use of Kiran Bedis pictures in AAP posters, demands stern actio

The party has recently put up posters on numerous auto-rickshaws plying in the national capital, asking the people of Delhi to choose between Kejriwal and Bedi for the post of chief minister. The posters features the picture of Kejriwal with the word "imandar" (honest) printed below it while Bedi’s picture says "avsarvadi" (opportunist).
