Market booms for cap makers in UP ahead of LS Polls

Amroha, April 04 (ANI): The demand for caps bearing symbols of leading political parties has picked-up ahead of Lok Sabha Polls as politicians are distributing the poll merchandise to supporters during campaigning. With polls just round the corner, the cap industry in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a boom. Caps of leading political parties - red-coloured caps of Samajwadi Party (SP), blue caps of Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) and white and saffron caps of Aam Aadmi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) respectively - with party’s election symbol are being manufactured to cash in the popularity of leaders and parties. Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh has produced the Marathi film which is based on the story of a girl suffering from Down syndrome and how she fights all odds to live her dream of becoming a swimmer. The film fraternity has come out in full support of the film for raising a special issue and those present at the screening asked the audience to watch the film as it is both inspiring and motivating.
