A besieged suburb of Homs received aid for the first time since June. Flour, medical items, water and sanitation material were delivered to cut-off Houla. Aid agencies in Syria called for regular access as one-off deliveries run out quickly. According to the U.N. more than half a million people live in besieged territories. Female Kurdish fighter laughs after nearly being shot by Isis sniper

A video showing a Kurdish fighter nearly being shot by an ISIS sniper has emerged online. The unidentified woman can be seen taking an aim with her own sniper riffle through a window in Raqqa, Syria, before a bullet hits the wall behind her, right next to her head. Supreme Court approves most parts of Trumps travel ban

The U.S. Supreme Court approved most of President Trumps travel ban. The executive order temporarily blocks travel to the U.S. from six Middle Eastern and North African countries for 90 days, and suspends all refugee resettlement in the U.S. for 120 days. The banned countries include Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. The Supreme Court will hear arguments over the orders constitutionality in October. Jun 27, 2017
