Raipur, Nov 06 (ANI): Ahead of Assembly election in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday released BJP’s election manifesto in Raipur. Singh attempted to lure the voters especially the youth by announcing freebies for the college entrants. Singh also announced food grains at cheap rates for large number of families. Singh also highlighted that schemes would be implemented to improve the state infrastructure. The first phase of polls in Chhattisgarh will be held on November 11 for which the notification will be issued on October 18. The last date of filing nominations will be October 25 and the last date of withdrawal will be October 28. US reiterates 'no change' in visa policy if Narendra Modi chose to reapply

New Delhi, Nov 6 (ANI): The US has reiterated its stand on its visa policy and said that BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi can reapply if he wants and wait for a review. US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf said that there has been no change in the visa policy and Modi is welcome to apply for the procedure and wait for any other applicant. According to reports, the Gujarat Chief Minister, was denied a diplomatic visa in 2005 and his existing tourist and business visa was revoked under the Immigration and Nationality Act that makes a foreign government official responsible for severe violations of religious freedom ineligible for a travel document. Jorhat, Nov 06 (ANI): These youngsters from different parts of Assam are all school dropouts, and are a part of a bamboo handicraft workshop recently held in Jorhat.The week-long training programme was organised by the Institution for Culture and Rural Development (I-CARD) at the Rain Forest Research Institute in Sootea. In total 20 people, belonging to extremely poor families participated in the skill development workshop, where they were taught to make different bamboo products. I-CARD has been consistently taking initiatives to impart vocational training to unemployed youths in the region. The Institute works with the Rights Foundation under the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
