Khurshid slams Narendra Modi for allowing felicitation of Muzaffarnagar riots accused

New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Union External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Saturday targeted BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for not opposing the party's decision to felicitate MPs accused of inciting violence in Muzaffarnagar during his rally in Agra. The legislators, Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana were felicitated at Modi's rally before Modi arrived to address the rally. Som and Rana are currently out on bail.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party threatens to paralyse country over caretaker government

Dhaka, Nov 23 (ANI): The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has threatened to paralyse the country if the schedule of Parliament polls is declared without formation of a caretaker government. BNP secretary general, Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, declared that the BNP and its allies would stage protest rallies across the country on November 24 to press their demand. Earlier, Election Commissioner Shah Nawaz said the schedule of the polls might be declared on November 25.

Arvind Kejriwal on IRS letter

New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): The Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Association has shot off a letter to Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks that an ordinary income tax inspector makes Rs 1 crore a year and that he could also have earned crores of rupees as income-tax commissioner had he not resigned to embrace social work. The letter also says that such utterances were unnecessarily damaging the image of the fine service. The Association also refuted Kejriwal's claims that he worked as a commissioner of income tax, saying his batch has still not been promoted to that rank. Meanwhile, reacting over this Kejriwal said that this is also a conspiracy against him and he thinks the letter was sent to him on the directions of the Congress party.

PDP's Mehbooba Mufti blames Omar for youth unemployment

Srinagar, Nov 23 (ANI): People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has criticized the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference-Congress Government for taking away job opportunities from the youth and reinstating old people. While addressing media persons Mufti said that chief minister Omar Abdullah is giving extension to old people instead of recruiting youth in the state.
