New Delhi, Jan 2 (ANI): NCW chairperson, Mamta Sharma on Thursday said that the West Bengal government and chief minister Mamata Banerjee must take serious action against police negligence in the Madyamgram gangrape case. Sharma said that the victim should have been given protection after she was raped first. A murder case has also been filed now by the police against the two main accused, on the basis of the final statement of the girl in which she had said that she was set on fire by her rapists. Doctors treating the teenager have reportedly said she was pregnant at the time of her death.
