LS Polls: Delhi sees 64% voter turnout so far, may go up

New Delhi, April 10 (ANI): The Election Commission on Thursday said that polling in Delhi till 6 pm has been 64%. The EC added that the numbers may go up in the next few hours. The EC also informed that there has been no untoward incident in the capital and polling took place smoothly.

TMC workers attack EC officials in Malda, party says it respects EC

Kolkata, April 11 (ANI): A group of Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers on Thursday attacked Election Commission officials in the Manikchak area of Malda Dakshin constituency of the state. The attack reportedly occurred when the officials tried to stop a two-wheeler rally of the party as such rallies have been banned by the poll panel. They also allegedly damaged a video camera when the officials were trying to take pictures of the rally. The TMC has however, said that it respects the Election Commission and knows the rule of the game. TMC leader Derek O' Brien said that they will comment on the incident once they get full information.
