The event was organized to commemorate long gone Kashmiri Sufi artists like Ghulam Ahmad Sofi, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, Ghulam Qadir Langoo, Vijay Kumar Mallah and Padma Shri Awardee Gulam Ahmad Saznawaz. These artists were instrumental in promoting Sufi music in the state. Several Kashmiri artists, including poets, writers and singers, took to the stage to entertain the audience and educate them about Sufi music at the same time.
