HC agreed to hear the FYUP case on July 1st

New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): The High Court on Wednesday agreed to hear the Four year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) case, but deferred it to July 1st. Earlier, the Supreme Court had refused to intervene in the matter and had asked the High Court to hear the case. The Petitioner said that their plea is that the system of 10+2+3 should be complied by the Delhi University as by the other Universities and the directives of the UGC should be followed.

DU VC acting like terrorist: DUTA President after confusion over VC's resignation surfaces

New Delhi/Chapra, June 25 (ANI): Former railway minister Mallikarjun Kharge accused the rail authorities and the central government of negligence in Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express derailment mishap in Bihar. Around 2.15 am, 12 coaches of Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express train derailed at Golden Gunj area near Chapra city of Bihar on Wednesday, which killed four and injured eight others.

Security forces gear up to ensure safe pilgrimage for devotees in Kashmir's Amarnath

Rajouri, June 25 (ANI): Security arrangements were beefed up for the annual Hindu pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure the safety of devotees. Thousands of pilgrims undertake this journey to the shrine cave to worship an ice stalagmite called Shivlinga, believed to be the symbol of Lord Shiva. Mumbai, June 25 (ANI): Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta, recorded a statement with the Mumbai police against ex-boyfriend and industrialist, Ness Wadia, after she returned from the United States on Sunday.
