BJP leaders file nomination for upcoming Maharashtra bypolls

Mumbai/Beed, Sep 26 (ANI): BJP leaders on Friday filed nominations for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections scheduled on October 15. BJP leader Pankaja Munde after filing the nomination from Beed constituency said it is sad that BJP-Shiv Sena alliance has ended but the polls cannot be ignored and BJP will fight the assembly elections with full zeal. BJP leader Vinod Tawde said that it would have been better if the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance had not broken, but added that BJP's win in the election is important for the development of Maharashtra. Kolkata HC stays CBI investigation order in Parui murder case

Kolkata, Sep 26 (ANI): A division bench of Kolkata High Court stayed the single bench order which directed the CBI to investigate the Parui murder case. CBI investigation in the murder case was stayed till the next date of hearing i.e. Monday. Government lawyer Kalyan Banerjee addressing the media said that the case has been listed for next hearing on Monday. New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): BJP is to announce its first list of 190 candidates on Friday for the Maharashtra elections to be held on October 15. Party leader Shyam Jaju confirmed the same and said that party is likely to contest in about 250 of the total 288 Assembly segments and will leave the rest number of seats for its smaller allies. Jaju said that party tried to keep the alliance intact but could not and ultimately have to break apart.
