BS Hooda announces formation of separate SGPC in Haryana

Kaithal, July 6 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday announced to form a separate Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for Haryana. Hooda made this announcement in accordance with the aspirations of Sikhs of his state, while attending a Sikh conference at Kaithal. Kathua, July 06 (ANI): Keen volunteers set up community kitchens providing free food, temporary shelter and medical care in a bid to help devotees undertaking the annual Hindu pilgrimage, Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. President of a religious organisation, Baba Barfani Sewa Mandal, Chander Sheikher Sood, said on Sunday that various kitchens enroute to Amarnath are being run by his volunteers and arrangements for nearly 5,000 pilgrims have been made. Pilgrims said they were happy with the arrangements made for them and their journey was made easier through the efforts of the volunteers. Moradabad, July 06 (ANI): Villagers in Moradabad district on Sunday fled their homes fearing for their lives in wake of violent clashes. Tension is prevailing in Kanth village after BJP workers clashed with police and Samajwadi Party members over removal of a loudspeaker from a temple by the administration decision. The detention of BJP leaders, workers and supporters while on their way to attend a huge religious gathering, 'Mahapanchayat', in Moradabad to protest the decision, led to skirmish with police and the SP workers. A District Magistrate and police officials were injured in stone-pelting by protesters. Police resorted to rounds of firing to control the unruly mob.
