New Delhi, Sept 1 (ANI): Finance minister Arun Jaitley has criticized the CBI for resurrecting a disinvestment case that's more than a decade old, saying such actions could damage the country's overall investment climate. The first information report (FIR) in the case against former disinvestment secretary Pradip Baijal and others in the sale of Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel in Udaipur in 2002 has recently been filed. Mixed reactions flow as Rajnath says no white flag for Pak if ceasefire continues

New Delhi, Sep 01 (ANI): Mixed political reactions flowed on Monday as Home Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement that India will not be ready for any friendly relations or talks until Pakistan stops violating the ceasefire along the Indo-Pak international border. Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the government does not have a policy for Pakistan and the Home Minister should clarify as to what he means by his statement. SP leader Naresh Agarwal slammed the government for showing softness towards Pak by inviting Nawaz Sharif to PM Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. NCP leader Majid Memon welcomed the statement saying that Rajnath Singh has taken the correct decision and it will warn Pak. BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Pakistan should understand that friendship and enmity cannot go hand in hand. The national anthems of both countries- India and Japan were played and Prime Minister Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe along with the gathering in the palace paid respect by standing still. Modi then met the Japanese delegation present inside the palace after thanking the choir in the Japanese way. Devotees in Vadodara prepare gigantic 'Modak' sweet to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi

Vadodara, Sep 01 (ANI): A group of devotees in Gujarat prepared a gigantic dumpling shaped sweet, Modak, on the occasion of the Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day popular celebration during which it is believed that Lord Ganesha bestows his presence on earth for all his devotees. The group had initiated to create the lord's favourite sweet weighing 800 kilograms for the people of Vadodora city. The sweet was made into five layers each consisting of a different ingredient. The organiser of the sweet making event, Ankur said that a team of seven to eight people prepared the biggest sweet in around 36 hours. At least 4 killed and 12 injured in Noida road accident

Noida, Sep 01 (ANI): Four employee of Motherson company, a private firm based in Noida were killed and over 12 injured when a bus carrying them collided with a truck in Sector 71 of Noida on Monday. The injured were immediately rushed to the nearest hospitals. Doctor said that a few are serious while others can be released on an immediate basis. The accident took place early in the morning when the victims were on their way to the Motherson company. One of the injured said that the truck collided straight on to the bus and that both the drivers didn’t pay attention.
