SC reserves order on cancellation of coal blocks

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved order on cancellation of coal blocks. However, it has not announced a date for when it will declare its judgement in the case. The Petitioner said that it is a good judgement that SC has reserved the order in coal allocation case. However the lawyer for Coal Companies said that they demand that SC should hear them and not cancel allocations of those who are found to be innocent. Companies who were allocated coal blocks also pleaded with the SC not to cancel allocations without hearing them. Sep 9, 2014

Tokyo, Sep 09 (ANI): An agricultural plantation project in Hokkaido, founded by JFE Engineering Corporation, has two big greenhouses, covering a total area of 1.5 hectares. In addition to Mesclun greens and tomatoes, they grow more varieties of vegetables and fruits. The greenhouses, which are totally controlled by advanced cultivation control system, use the "Gas engine tri-generation system". It is a newly invented technology by JFE Engineering Corporation. The engine generates electricity, heat and CO2 from natural gas. Exhaust gas is filtered and pure CO2 is made and sent to houses though pipes and ejected by blast machine. The machine also blows warm air. Hot water is stocked in tanks and sent though pipes to heat up plant as needed. Sep 9, 2014

New Delhi, Sept 9 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 54.53 points down to stand at 27,265.32. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 20.95 points down to stand at 8,152.95. ASHOK LEYLAND LTD. and NHPC were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 5.44% and 5.14% along with IDEA and BHUSAN STEEL with an increase of 5.05% and 5.00% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include SOBHA and UNITECH with a decrease of 3.99% and 3.21% along with TORNT POWER and NATIONALUM with a decrease of 3.12% and 2.62% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 64.91 points at 17,776.72 while the banking sector is down 39.20 points at 18,511.09 and the reality sector is down 19.73 points at 1,759.28. Mumbai, Sep 09 (ANI): Congress party in Maharashtra, on Tuesday extended help to victims in flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir and dispatched relief materials. Indian-administered Kashmir is experiencing worst flooding in 60 years, killing at least 175 and inundating homes, military bases and hospitals in region's main city Srinagar as the Jhelum river overflowed its banks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed it as a national disaster and announced 1000 crore rupees in disaster relief payments, as well as compensation to victims and their relatives. Accusations of atrocities have been rife since the end in May 2009 of conflict between ethnic Tamil separatist rebels and Sri Lankan government forces that killed more than 100,000 people.
