Mayawati demands CBI investigation over dead bodies in Ganges

Lucknow, Jan 15 (ANI): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday demanded a CBI investigation over the incident of dead bodies being found in the River Ganges in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. She further stated that the Samajwadi Party had failed to maintain the law and order situation in the state. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo also launched her book 'A Travelogue of My Struggle-ridden Life and BSP Movement' to mark her 55th Birthday. Over a hundred bodies were recovered from the river Ganges in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, earlier on Wednesday. The issue of decline in CSR is complex and multi-dimensional and the scheme will address the issue within the broad framework of survival, protection and education of girl children. Meanwhile, Congress leader Manish Tewari and Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said that these campaigns are useless unless not practiced in day to day life. New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Politicos on Thursday welcomed the Reserve Bank of India's decision to slash repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.75 percent. Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan took markets and corporate India by surprise early Thursday morning when he announced a long-awaited cut in the repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.75% with immediate effect. This is the first repo rate cut since May 2013. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Minister of State for the ministry also welcomed the decision and saw the same as beneficial for the nation building.
