WB: Explosion in IISCO steel plant, several injured

Asansol, Sep 25 (ANI): Several workers were seriously injured on Thursday in a gas pipeline explosion at the IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) in West Bengal. The incident took place in Burnpur in Burdwan district, about 210 km from Kolkata. The injured have been admitted to the Burnpur IISCO Hospital.

Congress workers get into scuffle with police at youth aakrosh rally

New delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): Congress workers Youth Aakrosh rally, which was organized at the Jantar Mantar to protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government turned violent on Thursday. Congress Youth-wing workers tried to break barricades shouting slogans and clashed with the police, after which the police had to resort to mild lathi charge to disperse them. The rally was organized to highlight Narendra Modi’s failure in fulfilling the promises he had made during the election campaign. Congress leader CP Joshi said that the anger is an outcome of the PM’s false promises and there is much difference in what he says and what he does.

Talks still on, eager to keep alliance intact: Rajiv Pratap Rudy on BJP-Shiv Sena alliance

Mumbai, Sep 25 (ANI): BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy commenting on the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra on Thursday said that talks are still on between the two parties and BJP is still eager to keep the alliance intact. He said that the reason for speculations over the alliance is the constraint of time as only 48 hours are left for the nominations. He added that no instruction has so far come from central leadership and BJP unit of Maharashtra will make the best endeavor which will be in the interest of the public.

Congress' Aakrosh Rally demonstration of defeated and discredited people: BJP

New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday said that the protest by Congress workers against Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government at Jantar Mantar was a demonstration of defeat and discredited people. Earlier today, there was a scuffle between the police and Congress workers at Congress Yuva Aakrosh rally at Jantar Mantar. The protestors who were agitating against Prime Minister Narendra Modi government, were baton charged and a few of them were detained by the police.
