2014 will be known as 'Vijay Varsh' for BJP: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): BJP chief Amit Shah on Saturday while addressing the Abhinandan rally in the national capital said the year 2014 will be known as 'Vijay Varsh' for his party in the nation's history. Shah, who is making an all out effort to ensure the party's continuous winning streak under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the BJP is a party known to fulfill its promises. Highlighting the achievements of the NDA Government, Shah said the BJP has managed to keep inflation under control, including reducing the prices of diesel and petrol. Shah added that the BJP has started working on the promises that were made during the Lok Sabha polls. Politicos react while AAP- Congress allege BJP bringing outsiders for Modi's mega rally

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday react while Aam Aadmi Party and Congress alleged that BJP is bringing people from outside Delhi for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Abhinandan Rally". Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay said that there AAP's allegations are irrelevant and that they should themselves come to witness th crowd at the rally. BJP's GVL Narasimha Rao said that the prime minister is possibly the only leader in Indian history to have pulled crowds of a lakh and even more people. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi supported the allegations. NCP leader Majid Memon said that the prime minister should not use public money in rallies for any political party. AAP's Manish Sisodia said that people of Delhi will be waiting to see what issues PM Modi will address in the rally. France attacks prompted by insults to prophets, says purported Al-Qaeda leader

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): An audio recording posted on the Internet attributed to a leader of the Yemeni branch of Al-Qaeda (AQAP) said the attacks in France were prompted by insults to prophets but stopped short of claiming responsibility for the assault on the offices of French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. The authenticity of the audio could not immediately be verified. The voice in recording was purported to be that of Sheikh Hareth al-Nadhari. A Yemeni journalist who specialises in al Qaeda said it was clear that AQAP had provided a "spiritual inspiration" for the attack on the newspaper offices, but there was no clear sign that it was directly responsible for the assault. Security arrangements and traffic management in place ahead of PM Modi's 'Abhinandan Rally'

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Security was tightened around the Ramlila Ground on Saturday in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally at the venue in the national capital. The Delhi Traffic Police have also made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth movement of traffic. Modi is to address "Abhinandan Rally" which will be attended by around 1 lakh people. PM will formally kick off BJP's campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls on Saturday at the mega rally. Top leaders including BJP president Amit Shah, Union ministers Arun Jaitely, M Venkaiah Naidu and Piyush Goyal will attend the rally. Besides, chief ministers of Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra will share the dais with the prime minister. The traffic police has advised commuters going to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station and ISBT to start early with sufficient time in hand for absorbing possible delays in the routes.
