New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): The Central Government's proposal to increase the compensation amount for Maoists who surrender to the government has invited reactions. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that increasing the compensation amount may help in reducing the effects of Maoism in the areas most affected as more Maoists may surrender. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that the Central and State governments come up with various schemes to combat Maoism and increasing the compensation amount may also help. Visakhapatnam/ Bhubaneshwar, Oct 13 (ANI): Residents in the port city of Visakhapatnam faced lack of food and fuel on Monday morning after cyclone Hudhud lashed the Andhra Pradesh on Sunday leaving behind a trail of destruction in its path. The cyclone blasted India's eastern seaboard on Sunday with gusts of up to 195 km per hour (over 120 mph), uprooting trees, damaging buildings and killing at least six people despite a major evacuation effort. The cyclone after passing through Visakhapatnam had hit the adjoining state of Odisha but with less intensity. The capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneshwar, saw less damage in comparison.
