Visakhapatnam, Oct 14 (ANI): Hundreds of people queued up at petrol stations to buy fuel in wake of cyclone Hudhud devastation in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. People scramble to buy essentials commodities as long queues were seen at all petrol pumps, milk booths and grocery stores in the city. Vizag, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting to take stock of situation in Andhra Pradesh after the Cyclone Hudhud hit the state. PM Modi lauded the meteorological department for making efficient use of technology in predicting the intensity of the cyclone and thereby mineralizing the effect of the same. He condoled the death of people and announced compensation for the victims. He said that ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those injured from the PM relief fund. New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): A Delhi Session Court on Tuesday convicted all five accused in 2010 abduction and gangrape case in Dhaula Kuan. Lawyer in the case said that the court has held guilty all the accused and that the quantum of punishment will be announced on 17th October. Additional Sessions Judge Virender Bhat had earlier deferred the verdict saying the order was not prepared. Shamshad alias Khutkan, Usman alias Kale, Shahid alias Chhota Billi, Iqbal alias Bada Billi and Kamruddin were being tried for the abduction and gangrape of a 30-year-old call centre executive in Dhaula Kuan area of south Delhi. PM Modi reaches Visakhapatnam to review situation after cyclone Hudhud

Visakhapatnam, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday arrived at the port city of Visakhapatnam to review the situation after cyclone Hudhud hit the states of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Modi was accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu. The PM will also be conducting an aerial survey of the cyclone affected areas in both the states. Modi has instructed top officials to ensure that there is no bottleneck in relief and rescue work in the cyclone affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
