Congress misinterpreted my article, ready to face any legal action: B Gopalakrishnan

Thrissur, Oct 25 (ANI): BJP leader B Gopalakrishnan, whose article on Nathuram Godse in the RSS mouthpiece 'Kesari' had created a political storm, on Saturday said that he has been misinterpreted by the Congress and the left. He added that there are two editions of his article and the Congress has only been showing the second one. He further said that he stands by his article since the article is an ideological debate and he is ready to face any legal actions.

The two-time Oscar nominee will play the lead role of Dotty, a film editor who acts as a mentor and friend to James Franco 's character, a web portal reported. New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath on Saturday while addressing a press conference announced the dates for the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand. He said that the elections will be held in five phases in both the states, with the first phase elections being held on 25th of November. He added that the first phase elections will also be held in the three assembly constituencies of New Delhi. He further said that counting for both the states as well as for Delhi by polls will be held in on December 23.

People light over one lakh earthen lamps, pray for world peace

Gorakhpur, Oct 25 (ANI): Scores of Hindu devotees gathered at a river bank in Uttar Pradesh to light over one lakh earthen oil lamps and prayed for world peace and prosperity of citizens. The lighting of earthen lamps was done after Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. Devotees congregated at the Surajkund temple in Gorakhpur and prayed for brotherhood among people. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama, was believed to have rested at this temple site with his consort Sita on their way back from Lanka after defeating Ravana. The temple was illuminated with lights as earthen lamps were placed on the steps. It is a century old custom, organized with the aim to purify the atmosphere and keep the surroundings clean.
