Agartala, Nov 18 (ANI): Militants killed two persons, including a border guard, in Tripura. The incident took place when Border Security Force (BSF) personnel went to fetch water in a civilian water tanker of the Coastal Construction Company to a nearby area. The BSF soldier was accompanied by two other civilians, including the driver of the water tanker. A group of militants ambushed the vehicle. The injured were airlifted to a hospital in Agartala, where the BSF soldier and one civilian were declared brought dead while the condition of another civilian is stated to be serious. Nov 18, 2014

India and China begin joint military training exercise in Pune

Pune, Nov 18 (ANI): India and China began their 'Joint Training Exercise Hand – in – Hand 2014" in Pune. The exercise that aims at focusing on counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism tactics comes weeks after a stand-off between their troops along the border in Ladakh region. Lt General Bobby Mathews of Indian Army and Lt general Shi Xiangyuan of the Chinese Army inspected the guard of honour during the exercise.
