Recruitment Scam: FIR filed against MP Governor, Reactions pour in

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Wednesday after an FIR was filed against Madhya Pradesh governor Ramnaresh Yadav in the multi-layered examination and recruitment scam. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that PM Modi should take stand over the issue. BJP leader Prabhat Jha said that he has no doubt on Yadav's intelligence and that he himself will decide whether he wants to resign or not. The week-long extravaganza at the brilliantly lit Khajuraho temples, which celebrates the spring season, aspires to showcase the essence of various Indian classical dance forms at its purest. According to Indian mythology, the gods and goddesses were great lovers of music that comprises vocal singing, instrumental music and dance. Other Indian classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Mohiniyattam also enticed the audience. The dancers explored these forms through duet, solo and group performances, enthralling the audience with elegance and grace. Army assists disabled people by distributing wheelchairs and artificial limbs in JandK

Poonch, Feb 25 (ANI): Indian army assisted disabled people by distributing wheelchairs and artificial limbs in Jammu and Kashmir. The task was carried out by the Romeo Force Regiment 39 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and charitable organisation, Pritam Spiritual Foundation Trust, to help disabled people in the border belt of Poonch district. In November last year, the army had provided artificial legs to 20 people in a distribution camp at its battalion base. Meanwhile, chairman of the Trust, Jagbir Singh Sudan thanked the army for supporting them in this noble cause. Feb 25, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Reactions pour in on Wednesday as Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna said that RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke ‘bitter truth’ about Mother Teresa where he said that Mother Teresa worked for poor with an objective to convert them into Christianity. Congress leader PC Chacko said that Mother was a noble laureate and making such comments on her is obligatory. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that everybody has right to spread message about their religion and what she did was totally lawful. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi condemned the statement and said that more than 100 countries witnessed services of Mother Teresa. Health authorities start helpline in Kashmir on deadly swine flu

Srinagar, Feb 25 (ANI): Health authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have started a helpline to make people aware about the preventive measures in the wake of outbreak of swine flu. Six people have died due to the flu in Jammu and Kashmir and nearly 140 people have been tested positive for the virus, according to media reports. A health volunteer, Shazia, said the helpline has helped control panic situation in the state. So far the authorities, she added, have received around 260 calls, some even from the western state of Gujarat. Meanwhile, Director, Health Services, Kashmir, Dr Saleem-ur Rehman, said besides assisting people through the helpline, they were also putting up posters and distributing pamphlets. India has seen a sharp rise in the number of swine flu deaths and reported cases this year, prompting officials to investigate the cause and step up efforts to combat the virus. Feb 25, 2015

Kejriwal meets CAG to seek status of Delhi discom audit

Delhi HC issues notice to JP Nadda over PIL seeking CBI inquiry in AIIMS graft case

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to Health Minister JP Nadda on a PIL seeking CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities and corruption at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The notice was issued by the HC while hearing a petition seeking a CBI inquiry into various cases of irregularities and corruption in AIIMS raised by then anti-graft officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi. Court finds Abu Salem guilty in Pradeep Jain murder case, orders life imprisonment

Mumbai, Feb 25 (ANI): In an update for Pradeep Jain murder case, Abu Salem has been found guilty by TADA court in Mumbai and sentenced to life imprisonment. Lawyer Ujjwal Nikam said that the close aide of Daud Ibrahim, Abu Salem has been found guilty of murdering builder Pradeep Jain and also threatening other builders for ransom. Two militants killed in Kashmir encounter

Shopian, Feb 25 (ANI): Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Wednesday. The gun battle is still on between the security forces and militants in Shopian district. The security forces are in search of a third militant. The encounter began on Tuesday when security forces received specific intelligence input about the presence of militants in Hef Shermal area of Shopian, 52 kms from Srinagar. Acting on a tip-off about the presence of militants, a joint team of army and police began a search operation in the area.
