President-elect Donald Trump has been awarded Time Person of the Year for 2016. Time magazine honours those that have the biggest political and/or cultural impact throughout that year. A Pakistan International Airlines plane has crashed on 7 December, possibly killing up to 47 people who were on board. PIAs ATR-42 is thought to have crashed shortly after taking off from the northern city of Chitral, heading towards Islamabad. Comedians stand up set cut short by gunmen

At least six people were wounded when a gunman opened fire at a sports bar in New Jersey, USA, on 2 December. Comedian Toni Bryd was about five minutes into her stand up routine when bullets rang out into a room with about 30-40 people in it.
