Deadly earthquake causes severe damage to Amatrice in central Italy

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit areas of south-east of Norica in the early hours of 24 August. The town of Amatrice was severely damaged. The mayor of Amatrice has said that half the country is gone, people are under the rubble. The earthquake is thought to have killed at least six people and left dozens trapped. Aug 24, 2016
