Rajnath Singh demands upgraded security for Modi post suicide bomber threat

Lucknow, Mar 27 (ANI): BJP President Rajnath Singh expressed concern over possible attack on BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, after Intelligence Bureau issued alert of suicide bomber threat. Reportedly, as per the high alert, the attack may be on the lines of assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The IB reports also stated that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, won’t be shot at, but it is likely that a suicide bomber disguised as a supporter may target him. The agencies also suspect that the attack may take place in Modi’s own constituencies of Varanasi or Vadodara. Mar 27, 2014

New Delhi, March 27 (ANI): Giving relief to Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar, the Centre finally agreed on Thursday for commuting his death penalty into life imprisonment on the basis of delay of 18 years in mercy petition. Lawyer KTS Tulsi said that the Attorney general had agreed to the same citing the reason of the delay in the case.
