I have never been an RSS man: Ved Pratap Vaidik on Rahul's comment

Gurgoan, July 15 (ANI): Ved Pratap Vaidik, senior journalist also known as an aide of Yoga Guru Ramdev has been making desperate attempts to defend himself in the controversies he stirred by meeting 26/11-mastermind terrorist Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan. Vaidik dismissed the claims of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi that he is an RSS man. He added that the Congress is using him as a shield to attack the BJP. Vaidik further clarified that he met Hafiz Saeed in his personal capacity as a senior journalist. He accused the media of distorting his statements and by taking up such false allegations, the Congress has made a fool of themselves and has reduced the Parliament to a joke.

No government role in Vaidik-Saeed meet: Sushma

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Both Houses of Parliament witnessed regular disturbances on Tuesday, with an unrelenting opposition demanding an explanation from the NDA Government on journalist Ved Prakash Vaidik_s meeting with 26/11 terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed nearly two weeks ago. In the Lok Sabha, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj reiterated that it was completely unfair and wrong on the part of the opposition and the Congress Party in particular to blame the government directly for allegedly facilitating the meeting between Vaidik and Saeed. She said that Vaidik had acted in his individual capacity, and that the government had absolutely no role to play in facilitating the trip or the meeting. A similar statement was made by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Rajya Sabha.

Vaidik has openly accepted the meet with Hafiz Sayeed , who is a declared terrorist, and has also said that he is ready to share all the information concerning his meetings in Pakistan.

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday that veteran journalist and political analyst Ved Pratap Vaidik belongs to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Ramdev aide and senior journalist Vaidik has been facing criticism from the opposition after his recent meeting with 26/11 terrorist mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Lahore. Vaidik has openly accepted that he met Saeed in Lahore, and criticized the Congress for unnecessarily giving it a political twist to put Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in the dock. New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday reacted over a media report that four youngsters from Mumbai are believed to have to have joined the ISIS militants to fight government forces in Iraq. BJP says wide stakeholder consultations needed for implementation of UCC, politicos react

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday reacted over Law Minster Ravi Shankar Prasad___s written reply to the Lok Sabha that wide consultations with stakeholders will be required before taking any further steps on the issue of uniform civil code. Subramanian Swamy and Yogi Adityanath of the BJP emphasized that the Uniform Civil Code already exists in the constitution in Article 44 but there is a need to discuss and deliberate on the matter with everyone. Swamy added that it is extremely important to have common laws for marriage and inheritance. Narash Agarwal of the SP however, argued that different sections of the society would never let the BJP further its agenda.
