Ved Pratap Vaidik is RSS man: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday that veteran journalist and political analyst Ved Pratap Vaidik belongs to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Ramdev aide and senior journalist Vaidik has been facing criticism from the opposition after his recent meeting with 26/11 terrorist mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Lahore. Vaidik has openly accepted that he met Saeed in Lahore, and criticized the Congress for unnecessarily giving it a political twist to put Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in the dock. He said that he is ready to share all the records of his meetings in Pakistan.

Politicos on report of Indian youth joining ISIS

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday reacted over a media report that four youngsters from Mumbai are believed to have to have joined the ISIS militants to fight government forces in Iraq. The Maharashtra police is investigating the four separate missing complaints filed by the parents of the youth, identified as Arif Fayyaz Majeed, Aman Naik Tandel, Shaheed Farooqui Tanki and Fahad Tanvir Sheikh. Leaders from various political parties said that it is a matter of great concern and the government should find the truth and take action.

BJP says wide stakeholder consultations needed for implementation of UCC, politicos react

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday reacted over Law Minster Ravi Shankar Prasad___s written reply to the Lok Sabha that wide consultations with stakeholders will be required before taking any further steps on the issue of uniform civil code. Subramanian Swamy and Yogi Adityanath of the BJP emphasized that the Uniform Civil Code already exists in the constitution in Article 44 but there is a need to discuss and deliberate on the matter with everyone. Swamy added that it is extremely important to have common laws for marriage and inheritance. Narash Agarwal of the SP however, argued that different sections of the society would never let the BJP further its agenda.

SC wants govt to revisit juvenile law, politicos react

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): After Union women and child development minister Maneka Gandhi, it is the Supreme Court that has called for a more stringent Juvenile Justice Act. Questioning the immunity enjoyed by the under-age offenders, SC has asked the government to re-visit the law and make necessary changes. Reacting over this, SP leader Naresh Agarwal said that before changing the law there should be wider consultations on the issue. However, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy welcomed the suggestion.

PM Narendra Modi meets Chinese President ahead of BRICS summit
