Congress files complaint in Vyapam Scam

One killed and three injured in IED explosion in Goalpara

Goalpara, July 23 (ANI): One person was killed and three others were injured in a blast triggered by suspected militants in Goalpara district of Assam on Wednesday morning. Police say at around 8 am, an IED or Improvised explosive device allegedly planted on a bicycle exploded outside the Krishnai police station. Bangalore rape case: Police arrests chairman of Vibgyor School

Bangalore, July 23 (ANI): Bangalore Police arrested the chairman of the privately-run Vibgyor School where a minor girl was sexually assaulted. According to reports, the chairman, Rustom Kerawalla, of Vibgyor School was arrested after it was found that there was delay on his part in reporting the crime to the police. It is also alleged that he concealed information related to the case from the police. It is also alleged that the Kerawalla tried to destroy evidence relating to the incident. He has been charged under section 201 of the Indian Penal Code, section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act and section 21 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Jul 23, 2014

Ahmedabad, July 23 (ANI): Two persons were killed and atleast five injured in Ahmedabad on Wednesday when a car allegedly being driven by a 14-year-old ran over a family sleeping on a pavement. The boy has been detained and is being questioned. The incident took place at around 2:30 am early Wednesday when the driver of the car lost control and it rammed into a hut. Rajnath Singh meets Australian delegation to discuss illegal migration issue

New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh met Australian Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, Scott Morrison, in the Parliament to discuss the illegal migration issue. Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj was also present in the meeting. The meeting was mainly to discuss issues relating to illegal migration. In this context, the Australian minister mentioned that a boat with 157 persons onboard was seized by the Australian authorities in the last week of June, 2014. The Union Home Minister stated that India, as a matter of policy, does not support any kind of illegal migration either into its own territory or illegal migration of its citizens to foreign territories. Rainfall to decrease in next two days in Odisha

Odisha, July 23 (ANI): The weather department in Odisha said that rainfall will reduce in next two to three days, giving people relief from incessant downpour. Over 100 villages in several districts like Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Kalahandi were flooded due to incessant rainfall, leading to breach of embankment in River Baitarani near Patpur.
