New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): Britain Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg on Monday said that UK wants to boost India’s target to expand education sector further. Clegg said that India and UK both has capability to expand the sector with the help of each other and they should do so. He also said that UK wants students from both countries to go in both directions. New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. He also met Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley following the same. Clegg is on a three days visit with an aim to bolster trade and strategic ties with India. His visit is intended to yield any immediate deals between the two governments, but is rather seen as the dawn of a long-term British strategy to focus relations with India on economic exchanges. Earlier, Clegg visited holy Sikh temple Bangla Sahib in the national capital. After offering prayers at the temple and taking a tour of the museum inside the temple premises, Clegg hailed the members of the Sikh community for their welcoming attitude to people of other faiths. From a Mumbai hospital, Lalu Yadav tweeted, "I thank the people of Bihar for making the Grand alliance win. Voters across the country have rectified the mistakes made in Lok Sabha elections." The tri-party combine are now likely to ramp up political sentiment against the BJP and its allies in the state, claiming that the latter has limited appeal in the state, and may not be in a position to form the next state government in 2015. Poonch, Aug 25 (ANI): Senior Army officers expressed confidence that the soldiers posted in forward areas along the India Pakistan border in Kashmir are well trained to foil any attempts by Pakistan to pump in infiltrators across the Line of Control. Kashmir has witnessed almost uninterrupted ceasefire violation by Pakistan since August 15. Brigade Commander, Sanjay Thakaran, posted in border district of Poonch said on Monday that the soldiers are aware of Pakistan's attempt to keep the tension on Line of Control high, but all such attempts will be thwarted. New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday said that all coal block allocations that were done under UPA regime are done in an illegal manner and it suffers from vice of arbitrariness. The court observed that there were no transparency and that no guidelines were followed in the allocation. A special bench headed by Chief Justice RM Lodha delivered the verdict on the two-year-old petitions that were based on Comptroller Auditor General’s (CAG) report, estimating a loss of Rs. 1.64 lakh crore caused due to the arbitrary allocations.
