Flood fury wrecks havoc in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh/ Manipur, Aug 24 (ANI): Flood fury has wrecked havoc in Uttar Pradesh and has rendered several homeless. The houses located on the banks on river Ganga are submerged due to the rise in its water level in Kanpur city. In Faizabad district also, floods have disrupted normal life of people and left many without any shelter. A Village Revenue Officer, Ramnihal Prajapati, said the government is helping people by providing them with essential commodities for their livelihood. Four day International Film Festival in Kashmir enthrals audience

Srinagar, Aug 24 (ANI): In a bid to revive theatre and film culture in the valley, a four-day International Film Festival of Kashmir (IFFK) 2014 was organised in Jammu and Kashmir in SKICC auditorium. The film festival, which began on Friday in Srinagar city, is being organised by Experimental Moving Images and Theatre Association (XMITA) in collaboration with the state’s tourism department. This is the fourth edition of IFFK, which is marking association’s 10th anniversary with longest-ever line up of movies from across the globe.
