BSE closes points 293.15 up on September 8

New Delhi, Sept 8 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 293.15 points up to stand at 27,319.85. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 87.05 points up to stand at 8,173.90. TORRENT POWER LTD. and MRF were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 14.87% and 8.92% along with APOLLO TYRE and MAX with an increase of 8.32% and 7.10% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include J&KBANK and GLAXOSMITHKLINE CONSUMER HEALTHCARE LTD. with a decrease of 4.42% and 3.08% along with TTKPRESTIGE and SUN TV with a decrease of 2.65% and 2.38% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 138.39 points at 17,711.81 while the banking sector is up 252.29 points at 18,550.29 and the reality sector is up 13.60 points at 1,779.01. A declaration for Independence of Balochistan

Quetta/ Geneva, Sep 08: The largest and resource-rich province of Pakistan, Balochistan, celebrate August 11 as its `Independence Day' and blames Pakistan for its illegal occupation since 1948. Facing poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and inequity, the people in Balochistan feel a deep sense of insecurity and disgruntlement against the Pakistan regime. Human rights violations have reached `epidemic proportions' in the region. On August 11, 2014, Baloch nationalist leaders issued a written declaration demanding Balochistan's independence. The declaration forwarded to the concerned authorities says that Pakistani armed forces have launched a campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide in Balochistan, and are systematically kidnapping, imprisoning and murdering Baloch political activists, students, lawyers, intellectuals and nationalist leaders. SC grants Sahara Chief 15 days extension to finalize deals

New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday allowed Sahara Chief Subrata Roy to stay in Tihar Conference Room for 15 more working days in order to finalize deals. His lawyer said that an application was submitted by Roy and relevant documents were provided before the Court observing which the Court granted extension. Roy had been allowed to stay in the conference room to enable him arrange Rs 10,000 crore as security to come out on bail. He has been in jail since March 4. Sep 8, 2014

Many villages affected, border outposts safe: Rajnath on JandK floods

New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday highlighted the situation of flood in Jammu and Kashmir. Singh said that this has been the worst flooding in last 50 years in the state and it has affected many villages in Jammu as well as Kashmir. He added that an inter-ministerial team has been deployed to stay in contact with the Central government. New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): Refuting Aam Aadmi Party's claims that he tried to bribe their MLA, Sher Singh Dagar said that BJP can investigate on the matter and that he had not tried to bribe anyone. Dagar said that he is not afraid of being expelled if the party wants and that he has not done anything wrong. The BJP leader said that the AAP MLA came to join the BJP and was asking for party ticket, on which Dagar never gave any assurance of any sort.
