LeT luring youth from flood-hit Azad Kashmir

Muzaffarabad/ Geneva, Oct 27: Heavy rains and floods have caused havoc in Azad Kashmir. Property and infrastructure has been destroyed and hundreds of civilians were killed and many have become homeless. Militant leaders based in Pakistan, including Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) chief Hafiz Saeed reached the affected areas to take advantage of the flood situation to lure youths rendered shelter less by the recent floods. They instigate them to join militancy and wage a `jihad’. Centre reveals three names from Black Money list in affidavit to SC

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): The central government on Monday disclosed to the Supreme Court the names of three persons who have allegedly stashed black money abroad. The affidavit which the Centre submitted to the Supreme Court mentioned the names of former Dabur executive Pradip Burman, Rajkot-based bullion trader and jeweller Pankaj Chimanlal Lodhia and Goa miner Radha S Timblo. The list did not feature any politician.Dabur came out with a statement shortly after the Centre filed the affidavit in the Supreme Court. It stated that the account was opened when Pradip Burman was an NRI and was legally allowed to open the account. Oct 27, 2014

Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrives in India for two-day visit

Gaya, Oct 27 (ANI): Vietnam's Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung, arrived in India on Monday to enhance ties and regional cooperation and began his two-day visit by landing in Bihar. Dung, who was accompanied by a 50-member delegation, was received by Bihar Chief Minister, Jitan Ram Manjhi, in Gaya city. During his visit in the state, Dung will pay homage at Mahabodhi temple in holy town of Bodh Gaya, where Lord Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment. He would also visit the Vietnam Buddhism Pagoda in the town. Both the countries could sign at least a dozen pacts to boost cooperation in sectors like energy, infrastructure, trade and tourism. Dung will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and other leaders. NCP's decision to abstain from voting in Maharashtra, in best interest of democracy: Majid Memon

New Delhi/Mumbai, Oct 27 (ANI): NCP leader Majid Memon on Monday said the party's decision to abstain from voting for majority in Maharashtra is in the best interest of the democracy and would do justice to the system. The chief of NCP, Sharad Pawar in an interview to business paper, Economic Times stated that if there is voting for majority in Maharashtra, NCP will abstain from it. The BJP won 122 of 288 seats in Maharashtra, but fell short of an outright majority. Memon said they would lend external support to the BJP. However, slamming Pawar, a leader of Communist Party of India (CPI), Atul Anjan, said that Pawar just wants to stay in power but does not hold anything in the interest of the nation. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena, a former ally of the BJP in Maharashtra, said on Monday it was ready to support whoever the BJP picked as the next chief minister of the state.
