It’s the outcome of a large influx of people from Pakistan in line with the country’s deliberate expansionist policy in the region.Islamabad offers several perks to those settling here. Government employees from Pakistan get double salary and incentives to serve in Gilgit, while locals are prevented from getting any employment in the public sector.
