One killed, many feared trapped in Mumbai building collapse

Mumbai, March 14 (ANI): One person was killed and four others suffered minor injuries after a 'highly dilapidated' seven-story building collapsed in Yashwant Nagar area of Mumbai's Santa Cruz on Friday. A resident of the area said that the local municipal corporation had deemed the building unsafe for living and had given several eviction notices to the residents. New Delhi, Mar 14 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a PIL seeking a court-monitored probe into the fire tragedy in submarine INS Sindhuratna and a compensation of Rs 1 crore each for relatives of the two Navy officers who died. A bench headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam, before whom the matter was mentioned for an urgent hearing, posted the case to March 28.
