Police busted militant hideout in Kashmir, recover arms & ammunition

Rajouri, May 16 (ANI): Police busted a militant hideout in former militant hotbed of Rajouri district in Kashmir and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition. The army and police launched a joint search operation in Kandi located near Kankali forest in Rajouri and recovered a consignment of arms, ammunition and explosive from the hideout. While interacting with mediapersons, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kandi, AM Malik elaborated about the weapons recovered. Kashmir has a chequered history where a two-decade long insurgency affected the normal functioning of the administration. May 16, 2014

Germany holds Indian traders responsible for failing to achieve trade target of 2013

Kolkata, May 16 (ANI): Germany holds Indian decision makers’ hibernation mode responsible for both the countries failing to achieve their unofficial target of over all turn over of trade of 20 billion Euros in 2013. While addressing the Indo German business conclave in Kolkata, German consul-general Rainer Schmiedchen said that due to elections in India both the countries could not achieve their trade targets. New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): India's first woman amputee conquered Mount Kilimanjaro after scaling the Mount Everest. Arunima Sinha, the national level volleyball player, the girl who lost a leg in battling snatchers had earlier climbed the world's highest mountain peak, Mount Everest on May 21, 2013 with a prosthetic leg. While addressing a news conference on Thursday (May 15) in New Delhi, Sinha said that the disability is all in the mind. Sinha said her family has been her backbone which has given her moral support and has encouraged her to follow her dreams of climbing the world's highest summit. The Seven Summits which have been climbed by few are composed of each of the highest mountain peaks of each of the seven continents and these are Kilimanjaro, Denali, Elbrus, Aconcagua, Carstensz Pyramid, Vinson and Mount Everest. RBI, finance ministry talk contingency plan for May 16

Shimla, May 16 (ANI): RBI Chief Raghuram Rajan has stated that it is prepared to deal with any excessive volatility from election results to be unveiled on Friday.
