New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Reacting on government's decision to pass the anti-graft bill through ordinance, BJP Spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said that Congress wants to become heroes in the eyes of people by passing the bill when they failed to do anything else in their 10-year rule. Lekhi said that the opposition sat till 6:00 pm on Friday to pass the prioritized bills but Congress itself never mentioned the aforesaid bill during that time. She said that if the anti-graft bill is not in the priority list of Congress, then nothing can be done about it. Feb 22, 2014

Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Kolkata/ Lucknow, Feb 22 (ANI): After government decided to pass the Anti-Corruption Bills through an ordinance, political parties draw contradictory reactions over the same. Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi said that opposing the bill reflected the hypocritical nature of the opposition which had earlier asked for a strong law against corruption. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that there is no option left now when opposition never allowed the passage of bills in the Parliament. Mumbai, Feb 22 (ANI): A Boeing 777 aircraft of American carrier United Airlines (UA) was grounded at Mumbai airport Friday night after engineers found that its right engine cover was badly damaged, officials said. The aircraft, operating flight UA-48 from Newark to Mumbai, was grounded, terming the damage as "major", the sources said, adding it was being suspected that the damage may have been caused during take-off. Bhubaneswar, Feb 22 (ANI): Odisha's law, tourism and culture minister Maheshwar Mohanty, was injured when two unidentified men opened fire at him near his house in Puri. Mohanty, 59, was driving a scooty back home from a function when two miscreants, who were apparently following him on a two-wheeled vehicle, opened fire at him in a narrow lane near Amala Club in the heart of the town at around 8pm on Friday, sources said. The minister sustained a bullet injury on his left arm and suffered head injuries after he fell from the scooty on being fired at.
