Prez lists priorities of NDA Govt while addressing joint sitting of Parliament

New Delhi, June 9 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee while addressing a joint sitting of Parliament listed the priorities of Narendra Modi-led NDA government. Mukherjee said that the BJP-led NDA Government would work to fulfill the aspirations of 125 crore Indians. He further added that reviving economy and tackling inflation would be the top priorities of the present government.

New Delhi, June 09 (ANI): Political leaders reacted after NCP President Sharad Pawar said that "certain ideologies" were emboldened to spread communal fever after BJP-led NDA took over the reins of power at Centre. The fire victims of chattabal Srinagar are demanding proper rehabilitation as they are living in very miserable conditions in tents. The affected families are living in canvas tents provided by Red Cross society. But due to the rainy season they are not comfortable in tents and they don’t have other basic facilities including proper ration, clothes, and water and toilet facilities. Although the state govt. claims to have spend millions of rupees on the roads development but it all seems like on papers only. Taking the example of the main roads in kishtwar district one would say that people are still living in the medieval times. The condition of the road is so pathetic that it’s become impossible for the transport to ply smoothly on this vital road. The commuters have to face difficult time while travelling on this road. Although the state govt. is doing all its efforts to upgrade the health care facilities in the far flung areas but still a lot needs to be one. The public health centre in the border town of Trehgam in kupwara district was established some 12 years back and since then no up gradation has been done. This 25 bedded phc despite having all the basic facilities and latest equipment have shortage of doctors in the phc.

All 17 cops accused in 2009 Ranveer Encounter Case get life imprisonment

New Delhi, June 09 (ANI): A special CBI court on Monday sentenced all 17 Uttarakhand cops accused in 2009 Ranveer Fake Encounter Case to life imprisonment. Earlier, a Delhi court on Friday convicted 18 Uttarakhand police personnel, including 7 on a charge of murder. Meanwhile, the lawyer in the case said that they will go to the High Court to file review petition and claimed that Ranveer was a terrorist.

Two militants die in gunbattle with Indian security forces in Kashmir

Pulwama, June 9 (ANI): Indian security forces have gunned down two militants belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) operating in Kashmir.
