Two college students shot dead in UP after dispute over ragging

Hathras, Sep 03 (ANI): A dispute between two groups over ragging left two college students dead in Hathras city of Uttar Pradesh. The Deputy Inspector General of police, Satyendra Veer Singh, said on Wednesday (September 03) that an argument regarding ragging of a boy in college led to the dispute and the firing. The police are investigating and have registered a case against three students belonging to one of the groups. Following a Supreme Court Order ragging was banned in 2009. Every institution in the country must now have an anti-ragging committee and an anti-ragging squad. A national anti-ragging helpline has also been set up. Sep 3, 2014

The two countries are expected to discuss issues on border crimes, border management, land boundary agreement, counter-terror initiatives and reopening of immigration points, besides reviewing progress and implementation of existing protocols and agreements.
